ANCIENT TESTIMONY · PAUSANIAS 3.14.6–3.14.7The Spartans called “Dromos” the place where young men practised running; it held two gymnasia, one dedicated by the Spartan Eurykles. At its start stood the Dioscuri “Starters” (3.14.6–7).
